Hatching Emergency

If it’s a very thin thread still holding it to the egg, you can snip it with scissors, at least an inch or two away from the body. Then let that inch or so dry up on its own.
But if it’s attached by a bigger cord, let it gain some energy first.

Can you see the belly and tell if it’s closed up well?
 
I haven’t had a good look .. I didn’t want to intervene or open bator.
But if it’ll dry up I might leave it till this afternoon after work and hopefully its dried up by itself though it’s been awhile already. Ducks way more stressful than chicks

Hows the little one doing?
 
He looks more alert now... has a clear thin (looks like plastic tape) still attached to shell is moving around the baton more... not sure wether to move him to box or wait
