hatching geese eggs

Good luck on your Pilgrims.. I hatched 17 a few weeks ago. I believe they are over 5 weeks old now.. Great type of goose..

i have offically put 4 eggs into lockdown last night on day 27 in my hatcher. 2 are pipped internally. they are both peeping and tapping and both eggs are rocking. the other two are alomst pipped internally air cell were all big enough all 4 air cells are equal now.

i left the two smallest air cells in incubator still running dry. the air cell has not gotten any bigger in 2 days. but i can still see movement and shadows.

the first one to pipped internally was on day 27 5am no external pip as of day 28 10 am

second egg pipped internally on day 28 5am no external pip as of day 28 10 am

have to stop staring in the incubator window i'm going cross eyed!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have a good hatch.

Hi everyone, 3 of mine have externally pipped as of just a little while ago- day 29. Most of my anxiety has passed now that I have 3 pips. Now it's time to just relax and wait. Still curious about the 5th egg, but I don't want to open the incubator to check on it. The fourth egg is just a bit behind the others, no internal pip as of last night and nothing that I can see from the window today. I pray that all works out well for Pete also, he has been such a tremendous help to all of us.

I thought all of yours were duds. darn I must of missed a post or something. Well just think of it this way. If you get a white Sebbie to hatch then go and get a grey goose and breed your own coloured sebbies for next year!! Sounds like a plan to me.

No, all 4 of the Sebbie eggs were duds, but I had an egg from a neighbour in there too and it is doing fine. I have no idea what breed it is.

Sorry, Highlander about your sebbie eggs, how disappointing. Can you locate more eggs and try again? Glad to hear that you have a little one developing though. You may be happily suprised with what you hatch. Best of luck!

One down and one to go!!!!
