hatching geese eggs

^ Aw!

The oldest one is about 8 weeks, I'm not 100% sure on her since I bought her fully feathered. The white one and the butt behind him are about 4-5 weeks old. The next biggest is a week younger (3 weeks) then the 2 little ones are a week again younger. Then I have 2 new babies in the incubator

The one in the 2nd pic is a boy, the butt in the middle was thought to be a girl but you can see 'she' has grey feathers coming in on her wings so probably a toulouse mix

The others are supposed to be all girls. I bought the 2 youngest from Ideal (as pullets) and the oldest I bought at an auction. I sexed that one so hopefully I was right

I'm starting to wonder if that one (oldest) is an embden. She doesn't look like the other I'd bought (turned out to be an obvious white chinese once it was able to stand up fully) but her beak looks weird??

I guess we'll see eventually.

ETA: The 'brown' one is a young mallard drake

Did the 3rd egg go as far as internally pipping?

Nice little group of youngsters you have there, I do love Embdens

Cute pics Shelley, thanks for sharing. And well done on the 2 new arrivals!

My own egg pipped externally at around 2pm yesteray afternoon but hasn't made any progress since. Hoping things will get moving along today.

Thats great news and now almost 24 hours after external pipping. Is the gosling peeping in the egg yet and what day are you on now?

The next Dewlaps are right there with you and internally pipped early yesterday morning and externally pipped late afternoon. All ok - peeping and rocking now and again. Expecting them to hatch from this evening onwards

Fingers crossed for both of us

Also waiting for news from Bookerdog as it was looking like he was heading for a good hatch.

Here is a pic of a couple that were dry enough to put in with the 6 day old ones. Everything came to a stop. I have the pips but no zips right now.

shelleyd2008 Wonderful pics thanks for sharing.

i don't know if you can make out in the pics, but both the yellow and the dark colouring on it has a very green tinge to it. Any thoughts?
