Hatching help pip!

Three out, including the assisted hatch who is a tiny bit smaller than the other two but seems to be doing ok. Leaving in the Bator over night and then will move them three into the brooder in the morning. Got three more that have piped but these three just keep climbing around and over them etc. Fingers crossed the other three will hatch tomorrow x thanks for the support :)

Eggs get bumped around in the nest all the time - they should be fine! Good luck.

Hello, so these two , the shells have came away but thr membrane looks very dry and white, I can see they are trying to pierce through but not breaking the membrane . It’s be 20 hours , what do you think I should do ? Does the membrane need to be wet to break or dry ?
White is fine, brown is an indication that the membrane is dry. It is normal to take 24 hours from pip to zip

Hello, thanks for commenting. I have 5 out in the brooder running around very healthy and happy chicks. I have one left in the incubator with white membrane but looks like It’s piped and positioned wrong in thr egg. Peeled some shell of to see what’s happening in there, still a bit red with veins , still chirping and peking so I have popped some coconut oil on the membrane to help reduce the drying to quickly and left back in the bator .
also random questions, got 5 white chicks and one that is a beautiful tortoise colour, both parents are white with a small dash of black on mums feathers. The breeder we got them from said they were a cross with a frizzle , they all have feathered legs already except 1 Which is random :/

mum typically has decided to be broody and is sat on tour eggs herself in the house now ... got the bator cause she wasn’t interested in the slightest. Typical that haha

White can hide a lot of recessive genes. The little tortoise colored chick sound pretty!

The blood should go down soon and you can continue working on getting the chick out
