Hatching help

I'm no expert but I have 10 hatches under my belt this year and had my fair share of assisted hatches. They look really good to me. The membrane looks moist and no blood vessels visible. I would leave them and keep an eye on them. The danger of helping at this point is that all of the yolk is not absorbed and or the umbilical cord is not dried up. If they are not ready in that regard it can be a disaster. Patience

Progress on 2nd chick. 1st chick is doing great.

The 2nd one would not have made it unassisted as part of the umbilical cord was behind the neck and it could not move its head. Also was around one leg and had almost cut it open when i unwrapped it. Glad now that the 1st one got crushed and I pulled them. It was nerve wracking though so I hope this is the only time I have to do it.:barnie
