Hatching incubated eggs in cartons?

This is the duck eggs mom and dad at the top the female is the black one. And for my chicks there mom was a white leghorn but there dad is one of those rooster not sure who

What breed of duck are they

We have Pekin and Swedish hens and a KC drake. We are all about mutts when it comes to ducks, lol.

Today is day TWENTY ONE, woo hoo! One egg pipped last night, one hatched this morning

I can hear an internal peep so

for number two.

Yaaay! Chip which is my 2nd egg iv ever incubated is pipping!! I'm so happy!!

That's awesome I should be hatching some duck eggs this coming up Tuesday what's cuter ducklings or chicks

i've always hatched laying on their sides but have been following this thread and decided to give it a try with them in a tray, here is the first one out.
