I started with 2 duck eggs and 32 Lavender Orpingtons and 7 Jubilee Orpingtons. The duck eggs were clear and culled last night. All 7 JO were culled and 13 LO were culled: 2 blood rings and 11 clears. What kind of duck eggs are you incubating? Did you set them the same day as the chicken eggs?

I never considered using an egg carton ... interesting idea and something worth trying !!!

The poll is sure going in the way of laying them on their side. It's been recommended to hatch them in paper egg cartons when the air cells are whacky. I've got some reeealllly bad air cells with this bunch

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! EMERGENCY!!! when I took my egg out of my incubator it had a tiny chip! I candled it and the AIR SAC IS ripped into the egg, like the AIR SAC IS BROKEN!! PLEEEASE tell me what happened! I can't hear chirping and I felt a little kick when I was helding the egg! PLEEEEEEEASEE tell me what to do! Im really scared!

Sounds like the chick pipped the internal membrane and has started to pip the shell. Get that egg back in the bator and leave it alone!!!!!

If it does hatch it really needs a friend.
