This is my second time incubating eggs. The first time was a nightmare of changing incubators (three) to be exact (41 eggs turned into 18 chicks, not bad for it snowing while collecting the eggs). This time, I overloaded with 53 eggs. I have a 41 egg auto turner and of course, the virus prevented me from getting a second one, so the rotated eggs go to the lower level (slightly cooler) for a day of hand turning. I got to the day seven mark before any egg position changing and candle. I took a picture of every egg so I could learn what is a good egg on day seven. But I'm not sure I should post 53 pictures. So I'll try to be more selective. I put my thoughts next to each egg, but please realize I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. So please correct me. I want to learn

Egg 2: IMG_20200420_081019.jpg Veins mean fertile, I don't know what the dark band at the bottom is. Should I be concerned?
Egg 3: IMG_20200420_081101.jpg This is what they mean by porous right? Otherwise, there are veins, so I'm happy.
Egg 4: IMG_20200420_081125.jpg The pattern on the veins is weird in this egg as most seem to be banded. Is it just another trick to the lights angle?
Egg 6: IMG_20200420_081202.jpg Same band as egg2
Egg 16: IMG_20200420_081620.jpg Does this count as a clear or a blood ring? Something else.
Egg 20: IMG_20200420_082218.jpg This one definitely has a ring, so dead?
Egg 24: IMG_20200420_082334.jpg This one is here only because the light caught the green of the egg and I thought it was cool. We can't be analytical all the time.

All the eggs are still in the incubator, my wife doesn't like me to toss them as we are new.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge

She'll think twice about not tossing bad eggs out once one explodes and ruins your incubator. 😵 Rotten eggs are nasty! 😜
