Hatching on side VS hatching upright....

I got a question. So what you guys are saying is you can keep them in the Turner (as long as its safe) pointy part down or pit them in the eggs carton (cut down and not lie them on the side?

I just had a batch of shipped eggs with damaged air cells. For lock-down I did put them in cut-down egg cartons as advised by many different sites. I only had 3 eggs make it to lock down, and two of them ended up trying to hatch out of the small end of the eggs. Luckily, I had picked them up to check on them before bedtime the next day and saw their pips and then laid them on their sides right away. One did not make it out, but the other did with some help from me. I'm sure they both would've died had I left them upright in the egg carton so...just a word of caution if you decide to try the egg carton method. I won't do it again myself.
I had the same exact thing happened to me to some call Duck eggs. It was absolutely horrifying I had 14 eggs and one baby survived. Multiple died because they picked upside down and there was too much of the egg white in there I guess and they were they didn’t absorbent I’m not sure I had them up Ray and a farmers innovator because I assumed having them upright would be better for the aerosols. Well, no apparently ducks are not need to be incubated upright. I have three incubating now and nurture right on their side and I’m praying that this is better But yes, a word of caution to anybody. I’m not sure about chicken eggs, but I can say for sure about being on the kegs do not I repeat, do not incubate them operate leaving them up right for the first three days until their aerosols attach that’s fine but anything longer do not do it. Do not go to the heartache like I had to go through it was the worst experience I’ve ever been through. I love animals so much, and absolutely for my heart out , also I was very unhappy with a lot of people recommending higher humidity because this was the first time I’ve ever done this, so I looked up a lot of things on the Internet and everything I’ve looked at most of the things I looked at told me to keep these duck eggs at a 60% humidity High 50s between 55 and 60%. I will tell you right now that those poor babies were not able to hatch because they drowned because apparently the humidity was too high or maybe it had to do with them being incubated upright. I’m not sure but this time my humidity is in the high 40s Low 50s and it will not go up any higher and I am marked air cells and I’m currently waiting them, so I’m hoping I have a better hatch this time. Sorry to rant.

And I just noticed this post was from 2014. Laugh out loud.
