Hatching WebCams

do you hatch in a card board egg carton????

do tell.... how long have you been doing this and does it work better than plastic and how do you rotate eggs etc.... I am very interested

This incubator is a big cabinet with tilting shelves. Eggs Go in it in the cartons. When its time to hatch I like laying them flat but they roll away from the camera so I have left them in the carton an tilted it. Other than the paper ones soaking up any spilled water I haven't seen an difference in plastic an paper. I have been hatching for years(40+hatches a year) but this setup is pretty new to me. Hatched in it 6 or 7 times an this will be the first in the cartons in this incubator. In my other incubator I had bad results hatching in the cartons.

OK that's just wrong... There was a mouse in the incubator hanging out with my eggs. Its an incubator, not a rodent sauna!

Am I going to have to put screens over my vents now?

ok if you have been hatching for 40 years I bet you could teach me a thing or two... What are you using instead of pine shavings in your brooder? How much did it cost you to install each webcame? Do you leave your chicks in the brooder past 3 weeks?

This is difficult. I can not imagine owning an incubator. How do you sleep? how do you get any work done?
I am going to have to subscribe to this. Let me know when you have pips!
