Hatching WebCams

Sunday is actually day 21 but my hatches usually are done by Sunday morning. I really expected to be about done by now. There was a power outage several days ago in the middle of the night. I assumed it was short but I'm starting to think otherwise.

The egg that is missing candled clear. All that are still in there looked good.

There EEs an EE/long crower crosses by the way.

Ive hatched for several years but far from 40. Im only 31. I hatch every week for about 40 weeks a year though. My brooder is full of cheep wood chips that have been in there for 2 years now. The cameras an wiring are about $70 each. The web server I built an I wrote the html for the web pages using Komposer for the basics an Word for the custom stuff. I usually keep the chicks in the brooder for 4 weeks.

Im working on a brooder that is not heated with a heated roost to see how that works.

Got up to check. One finally out!

the chick still looks wet around the ears. I guess the early bird gets to see the chick hatch...and i am not that bird.
So, I thought those were white eggs, but they are blue?
and the puppies are still sleeping! go poke them- No! I am just kidding. don't poke puppies. They look small...three/four inches? I have only had huge dogs. I can not imagine a puppy so small.
It must be fun.

Its streaming at 10 frames per second. If one person is watching they will see 10 FPS. If 2 are watching each will see 5FPS an so on. Thats my understanding of it anyway. It is black an white though becouse its a night vison camera an its pretty dark in there.

The eggs are blue, white an green.

Simple way is to use http://www.ustream.tv/

Or
other websites. But there are free programs that will let you do it too.

I may add a second camera in there to split the viewers next hatch an see how that works.
