When they were taken out of the turner at day 18 or day 19.

I just checked and see three more pips.

This morning it looks like one red colored cochin and two buff orpingtons. I will post pics when more hatch. I have one young red star x rooster and two gorgeous cochin roos breeding buff orpintons and easter eggers. I chose the largest eggs from the nests...most were pretty large anyway outside of my dominique hen and another mixed hen. I see three more pips.

If they don't hatch, Cyn, it will be from something I must have done. Can't wait for next bunch of eggs. I will document everything!!Depending on which day counts as day 1-blue orps should be day 20 tomorrow. I don't see any pips as yet but then there some of my eggs that haven't pipped as yet, either.

It seems that I have one partridge cochin/easter egger; one buff orp x; one that I am not sure of yet as it looks like it will have some red and some white on it; and a blue or black cochin/easter egger so far. Two more are actively pippin right now from the buff eggs of mine.

This last hatch I just finished yesterday, I incubated in the carton the entire 20 days. I was VERY pleased with this hatch and will use this method from now on. I got 8/12 babies. They just pop the top off and hop out!

More pics of the chicks I have 9 now but I am sure one isn't going to make it. Here is a pic of the ones who have dried now and are in the brooder

here is a pic of one I have isolated by itself in the other
bator so it will be warm. It looks like it did not develop right? My dh says to leave it be until morning as he has seen bird chicks look like this? Poor thing just shakes it's legs and cannot stand up.
