One of my hatching eggs has a samll bump(day 16), does that mean it's almost(but not quite yet) pipped???

Could be, do you have a picture you can post? Day 16 is a bit early unless the temperature during incubation ran high then the chicks may hatch a day or two early. If I remember correctly my earliest hatch was on day 19.

It's not a chicken egg, sorry, forgot to mention, it's a quail

If the bump looks like a little pyramid and/or it moves, then that is likely a pip. If you posted pics, someone could tell you for sure.

Depending on which quail species are you hatching. Here is list of quails and the number of days to hatch:

Blue Scaled Quail:23 days
Bobwhite Quail:22-23 days
Button Quail:16 days
California Quail:22-23 days
Coturnix Quail:16-18 days
Elegant Quail:22 days
Gambel's Quail:22 days
Montezuma Quail:24-25 days
Mountain Quail:24-25 days

There's like a small spherical bump on the shell, slightly pointy, but mostly round

What breed of quail?

Coturnix is most common. I would venture a bet that its a pip! Still could be 12-24 hours from hatching. 6-12 hours is most common, from initial pip.
