Have a real dark egg anyone have suggestions?

I stopped at the store today and bought Thermacare heating bandages thingies to have on hand in case we loose electricity while brooder or incubating...lol I don't know if they would work, but I'll try it if I need to...lol
Lol I wonder if those would work? Would You just lay em on top or underneath? Darn this weather has been crazy lately.

Funny story. I get up this morning my eyes aren't even open all the way. Stumble around the bathroom and find two chicks from out of the brooder standing in the bathroom chatting to each other. Suddenly I thought of teenage girls in high school. Fixing their makeup, hair and what not. Lol I don't know why that struck me a funny but, I laughed all day about it.

That IS funny. I've got 2 little comets, about 3 weeks old and that's how they act! I just never really thought of it before!

I'd give them 48 after hatch day is over.
Thanks Amy I figured you would have a good idea. You know this 4200 and the 9300 have minds of their own in terms of temperature.
The humidity in the 4200 holding the orphingtons is at 75% hoping thats a good rate. and the temp is abour 100.4 so here is to hoping.
My pups were born a couple days ago. And so between caring for them and turning eggs and watching for pips I am a pretty busy girl.

For incubator I was thinking setting them against the sides (inside). Or I guess if you didn't get them in the water you could put them under the screen floor. For brooder I was thinking activate them and put a towel over them and lay them on the floor of the brooder. I don't know if they would work, but I'd be willing to give it a try if I needed too...lol

That is funny. I can picture that.

That absolutely makes a lot of sense to me. The only way to see if it would work though is to need to try it. Which I would hope wouldn't need to be the case.

I don't want to have a need, but I want to be prepared if I do. Every time I see someone has lost electricity while incubating I cringe and wonder what I would do. So I finally made a game plan, (I hope I don't need) but at least I feel like I have a plan, even if I don't know if it would work...lol Three in a pack and they are supposed to last 8 hours...lol Better than nothing...lol

A couple are pictured more than once because the in the ancona egg's there was movement. Wish you could catch that on a still shot. Or that the camera would actually video without the flash but, it wouldn't. Needed some kind of night vision camera maybe. That would be cool. :)
