special?

not as in oh she's cute she's special??

she just looks so darn adorable; but she looks like she's just *special* lol..
instead of roosting; she'd rather eat...instead of trying to roost, if she's not eating
she's looking at the ceiling of the coop...

and then have I lost it when I have determined that i feel sorry for my turken cause she's
so stupidly ugly??? LOL...I am rooting for her cause she is TRYING desperately to get onto the third (top) roost
and she can only make it to the 2nd lol...I really wanna go put her on the third..she's tried; but she thinks she can hang
on by her long skinny neck..lol..

nevermind; guess I answered my own question lol

I've determined that one of the new chicks, the jersey giant chicks, is special...as in special ed. I tried to explain it to DH yesterday.

Now he thinks I'm special ed.

Am I weird (special) that I can tell my chickens apart by the sounds they make?
Kinda like a new mom who can recognize her newborns' cry from the thirty other babies in the nursery down the hall?
Each has its' own cluck style and/or egg song.
My family thinks I'm "special".

You are 'special' in a chicken-obsessed kinda way, just like all of us! I can tell all of my chickens apart just by their funny egg songs, whinges, and food requests. I'm meant to be working from home...and spend far too long in my backyard watching my 'special' chickens instead. They are...so funny!

I think my poor little duck is special... we named him Forrest..

But... anything that comes into my house... no matter how bright it was before... ends up special... Why do I have all the animals with "odd" ways about them?

We call the "special" ones the shorty bus chickens or ducks. Right now we have one young bantam hen whose just not all there and occasionally needs guidance to get her going in the right direction. I swear the rooster stands there drumming his toes impatiently sometimes then gives up and goes and gets her out of whatever predicament she's gotten into.
