Have Just Put Eggs In Tonight 9th August 2011, Anyone Want To Join?

I saw that one of my chicks has pipped!! I couldn't check more than 3 of them, and the other two were quiet. I am soooo excited!!

Awwww, so cute!!!!

I took the 5 eggs in that I thought are good and left the broody with the possible dud.

7 is still pecking at the pip. I can see 3 and 6 moving.

I'm so excited! I thought I was exhausted but I have my second wind.

Yeah, except they're STILL not hatched! How long does this take?!

I was contemplating freaking out- when I got up this morning, both pippers were exactly the same as when I took the picture last night. Well, #6's hole was a teensy bit bigger, but not a lot.

I got up, went to kickboxing, came home, and #7's hole has about doubled in size in the hour I was gone. Sooo, I think maybe it'll start moving faster?

This is driving me crazy, and I have no idea when to start worrying.

Ok, Eggs #7 and #6 have hatched!!! They look like they took entirely after their BCM daddy. I don't see any of the EE mother in either of them. However, they are only a few minutes old, so we'll see.

Congrats to all you new chickie mommas!

I am still sitting here watching my egg, desperately fighting the urge to candle it to see if its still alive! I thought I heard some clicking tapping sounds yesterday (with my ear on the incubator) but could be my imagination.

Soooo jealous of you lot whose babies hatched early and am very impatient now.

I've been on pins and needles about your little egg, Bantam. I'm really hoping it hatches out for you.

I've got two more that have pipped, but they haven't done anything since but wiggle a little. But, now that I'm soooooo experienced and have watched two hatch, I know that it is very slow between pip and zip.
