Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some info on this: I have two chickens with pupils not black but grey. I have looked into Merek's disease, and it shows that the chicken will get grey Iris but nothing about the pupil itself only turning grey. They are both 4 months old and they both act like they lack in vision.
I am hoping it is only genetic. Has anyone had any similar problems with the pupil only turning grey. The pupil is round and not oblong or funky....
The two hardly ever leave the chicken coop and when I noticed that they wouldn't leave... I placed them in the run with the rest of the chickens and my two rooster were trying to kill both of the birds. Quickly I had to intervene and only then did I do an inspection of the two chickens and see that they were having a hard time seeing.
Any insight would be helpful.
