Have you ever had a chicken you thought you wouldn’t like but it turned out to be your favorite?

Or had the opposite? Had a bird you thought you’d love but you ended being more meh about them? I’ve had both. I thought leghorns were sort of boring little birds with goofy combs and wattles. Now that I have one, she’s my favorite and her little comb is adorable! My cream legbars seem to have no personality to speak of, which is a shame. They’re nifty little chooks.

I originally got my BAs just for the eggs. I thought I would like my other chickens better. BAs are now one of my favorite breeds because they are not only great egg layers, but also beautiful and incredibly smart and affectionate.
Nice! Could you remind me what ‘BA’ stands for please? I’m still learning all of the acronyms

I got a tiny bantam that I didn't like to much at first, but now I absolutely adore the little deaf rooster.

A deaf rooster?! That sounds interesting!
Yep. He didn't have a great start at life. He barely got through his hardship with his life as a chick. Thought if anything he'd have no sight, but instead it's no hearing (or at least very little of itthe)

Is it challenging to work with him? To let him know when there’s food, treats, or when it’s time to go in for the night or is he rather used to the routine?
