So anyway my family and I went to New Hampshire this weekend to celebrate mothers day with the whole family.
We told them that we are now the proud new parents of 5 chickens and a cool new chicken coop. My sister in law responded
by asking us just when we have become trailer trash? So I was just wondering because I was unaware I guess that you
had to own chickens to be considered trailer trash? Was that rude or what???? I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on this??

I think people from all walks of life own chickens. There is a trashy way of doing anything. Having chickens you never cleaned up after would be low-class in my opinion.

Just show her that you have happy chickens living in a specially designed environment and yummy eggs. When your eggs are super popular and she wants some, you can remind her that "trailer trash" eat gourmet eggs.

you need to send her the video of all those chickens locked in crowded cages and tell her that is where she gets her store bought eggs from.. then show her a video of home raised hens so she gets the idea that you like knowing your getting healthy fresh eggs, not some horomone induced filthy egg for your family
