Have you ever wanted to just pick up and move?

I do have dreams of going to Scotland. It's less expensive to buy a business?
And yes, Scotland is breathtakingly beautiful.

I think I would like a small farm. Self-sustainment.

And men in kilts!

Given the opportunity, I would more than likely up and move in a minute!

A small farm is my biggest dream.....or a northwoods or mountain cabin.

Every year I think Id like to move back north, maybe southern KY, the mountains of TN, even West Virginia.

Then winter hits.

Nevermind....

I'm with Love_A_Duck, Scotland, men in kilts, my kinda place.
Ireland would be my second choice though. We moved from NH to Michigan 7 years ago, we didn't know a soul when we got here. Every once in a while I want to move again. Maybe someday we will. Life is for living, if it calls to your heart, why not do it.

I did it...a couple of times! Its rewarding and can get you out of a rut. I love where I live right now but would love to have more land here....maybe over in the next big valley, Blue Grass Valley.

I wouldn't mind living in Scotland and Ireland...but they have banned guns~even BB or pellet guns~ over there and I'm just not yet ready to give up fresh deer meat. Even for men in kilts.

Well me not so much I don't really seem to care where I live

my husband however hates the cold.....and hates the grief caused by various people....from family to people we don't know. You never know what your day will hold but if you move you will be with no family and still come across those people you don't know.

Constantly. The only folks who seem really happy here are the people of my grandparents generation who grew up with their parents stories of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. Compared to that I'm sure Fresno looks just fine. It doesn't suit me, though.

I'd love to find somewhere cooler and greener. Marry my girlfriend, finish my degree, and get our little farm started.

^ Yup, Mems told stories of picking cotton until her little fingers bled... that's Great Granny on Mom's Side... GG on Dad's, Ol' Granny helped her Daddy make coffins when she was a wee thing... he handled the carpentry, she made the liners.

Growing up with those stories I know without a doubt I'm spoiled rotten... even with the... 'issues' in my childhood I knew I was very lucky compared to many.

Still, it's nice to have dreams, goals, etc. What's the point in living if all you have to look forward to is death? Hope keeps us from counting the days.

Yes, I'd like to move one last time, up into TN since we practically are on the border anyway. If anyone would like to buy a mini-farm complete with coops and chickens, check out this one in the N. Ga. mtns.

We have a few minor snow events every winter, but are never snowed in and it melts fast.
