Hi guys, We have currently a couple of RIR's, NHR, and White Leghorns... We are about to buy more chicks. and because of how our current hens treat each other, I figured I'd ask my "peeps" here..
I'm thinking on getting some "Buff Orpingtons & Golden Comets"... we would keep these girls together but seperate from the other flock..
Question is, does anyone have any knowledge of the Buff's and comets playing nice together?

Orpingtons and Comets are pretty laid back birds. They'll be fine in any mixed flock.

I do notice that mine often segregate themselves by color out in the pasture, though--my few white birds go off by themselves, and the Golden Buffs (a sex link hen, like the Comets) seem to stick together. But we have lots of different breeds all in the same laying flock, and have never had a problem with any one breed not getting along with the other breeds.
