I'm sad to say we have to move and won't be raising chickens for a while. They all have a home to go to, so that's a relief. Its been such fun and quite enlightening to raise these ladies. Chickens aren't at all the "people" I always thought they were. I'll still hang in there with byc if its alright with all of you. Still love all things chicken....Jeanette

So sorry you have to give up your chickens.

Nice to know you found them a home, though. Hopefully, you will be able to have chickens again down the line.

Please do stay and join in the chicken chat. There's also lots to talk about here other than chickens.

I know your pain.
We lost our house a while back and the guy that was going to keep my birds was told by his wife that "no sticking chickens " were coming to her house. So at the very last minute I had to give them up. 31 chickens and 2 lavander guineas. I got a block away from selling them and had to pull over, because I was crying to hard to drive. My husband felt so bad he said he'd make sure I had more soon. And boy do I!
I had a hard time coming in here to read again though. I'd see chicks and it drove me nuts. Took a little while but I did come back in. I love this place. I would come here even if I had never owned chickens. LOL
Friend stay friends even when there are changes in your life. I haven't posted much (yet), but I doubt anyone would ever not want you here and since you've been more active than I have I bet you'd be missed.
Good luck on your move and I hope you find a place to have more chickeeeeess soon.
