Thank you for the warning. If she is away from the others in her own little recovery box (still in the coop) is pecking an issue? It will probably be a while before she can go back in with the others because of her injuries.

Sadly, she was not eating or drinking a thing. We ended up putting her down. It was the best thing for her. Once we were able to look at her really well (without worrying about hurting her anymore), she was tore up! I feel bad that we made her suffer longer, rather than just putting her out of her misery right off.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that you were trying to do the best for her. Her short life was much more enjoyable than if she had been born into a chicken factory.
