Was able to chase off hawk right as it attacked my BCM pullet. I immediately rinsed the wound with saline and put her in cage away from the flock. She is eating/drinking/pooping/talking/moving exactly as she always does. This happened two days ago, and every day I wash it out with chlorhexidine solution and slather over with antibiotic ointment. Also giving aspirin for pain management.

BUT, you can see food in the hole when she eats. I know chicken skin heals quickly, but with the crop damaged is this a lost cause? I will cull her if suffering is the end game here.

I had just about the exact same thing happened to one of my Chickens about a year ago I was able to rinse her out with a antibiotic solution I made with water and then I was able to stitch her up with dissolvable stitches and she healed up really nicely within a week or so. I also put her on antibiotics for a couple weeks.
