It's not too bad, once you get the first edge going... just go slow and don't get frustrated if there are tangles, most of them can be worked out with some patience. Really the tough part is getting it up there, once you manage that then smoothing it out and attaching the edges is far easier and can usually be managed by 1 person.

Oh but I do want to add on what I said here:

Unless you get an insane amount of snow all at once, snow shouldn't be a big issue with larger opening netting like this.

Haha so we got about 8" last night. Despite much of it falling through the 2" net openings it did pile up to about 6". I was tempted to leave the snow there to see if the netting really could hold the weight but figured now wasn't the time I wanted to be testing it.

I may need some protection too! I'm very sorry for your loss. Just recently saved my chicken from one! We both got beat up pretty bad. Her head and my hand got injured.

Premiere1 has some good netting. I had ordered netting off Amazon and wasnt happy with what it looked like when I got it. I didnt feel it would stop a dive bombing bird. I elected to put up chicken wire instead.

They can look in but thats all if I have them locked up. I do have a bigger run thats not covered for them to run around in but if theres a threat, this is where they stay.

My duck run in covered with 7' wide sections, zip-tied together along the seams.
When wet heavy snow falls, I go out and poke at the netting to make it fall through. Last winter, the snow got so heavy, it pulled my fence down!

I also meant to say that leaves are a bit worse on mine than snow is, but the run is under a bunch of trees. I use a leaf blower every few days to blow them off. Scares the birds to death, but I’ve gotten pretty quick at it.
