The bald eagles up the road are not overly pickie at this time of year-they will take a handy chicken or duck. The ponds are frozen but the ocean is not frozen by us. Eagles can be seen going for fish but my chickens in the yard are easy pickens. The other day it was a hawk. The eagles are beautiful and I am sure one would have disliked getting tangled in fencing more that the hawk. Netting is going up over the run but the birds are not free ranging until either the dogs or I am out there with them.
