Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? She is about 3 years old. I found her standing with her eyes closed away from the rest of the flock 3 days ago. Since then she is very lethargic and mostly stands there with her eyes closed. Whenever I bring her out to eat she does this weird head shaking thing and then proceeds to stand there for a while with her eyes closed. You can see her do it at the end of the video but very mildly compared to how she normally does it. Any thoughts ideas would be helpful I am very scared for her.

What's her diet? Has she laid recently? How her crop feel? Doughy, hard, squishy?
Can you feel between her legs for and swelling or hardness?
She eats organic layer feed. I have 6 others but I don't think that she has laid in a while. Her crop is completely empty. Her butt is red and there's some feather loss. I soaked her a couple days before this happened to treat it.

Can you get a video of the head shaking thing?

Upload video to YOUTUBE and provide us a link. Thank you!

Is it her adjusting her crop?
How about looking in her ears for infection?
Any lice or mites?

If her crop is not emptying overnight, then I'd address that symptom according to the article linked below.

What's her breed? At 3 she may have a reproductive issue.
She's a production red. I raise both production reds and rir too. She has not laid since last summer I believe. The way she moves her head around makes me think something neurological but I don't know a lot about avian illnesses. I've only raised birds for about 4 years

I don't think it's her adjusting her crop because for the last 3 days she really has only eaten a few bites of crushed berries here and there. She will not eat her regular feed or drink other than me forcing her. Her crop is completely empty. I have checked her here and there for lice and mites and I don't see any. I will have to Google how to check her ears as I wouldn't know what to look for. I will get a better video of the head shaking tomorrow, I don't want to disturb her now

Could be vitamin deficiency from not eating bit if she's a production red, 3 is usually when they start to come down with issues.
