Hearing peeps!!! UPDATE: Got my second chick!!!

PIP!!! AHH!!! I HVAE A PIP!!!

My first egg to start peeping has pipped, and another egg is peeping and rocking!!!!!

Isn't that simply amazing how something imprisoned inside an EGG knows to peck all around inside the shell in a line to zip it like that?????

I have been so amazed with the hatch I just experienced.

On another note, it was very quick to start zipping- virtually RIGHT after it pipped, maybe a 1 minute break! Also, there seems to be a bit of blood on the membrane. I know this could be from unabsorbed blood in the inner membrane, but could this also be a sign of an unabsorbed yolk???

Don't worry about a tiny spot of blood, it should be just fine.

It's also amazing that EVERY chicks zips anti-clockwise...
