Well, I woke up this morning to a half way zipped chick in the 'bator... but it is not moving anymore. It is breathing, and occasionally throwing it's head as if it is trying to continue zipping, but it is making no progress. Do you think it's stuck?

Well, after helping it out a little, it looks like I have a little splash chickie!!!

On another note- One of its feet looks a little deformed... like its toes curl the wrong way??? Anything I can do to help the poor little guy???

ETA: It also has the sac that surrounded the yol attatched to his belly

if the sac is still attached, it might have been a bit soon for him to come out. But, I'm kinda new to this whole thing, so maybe someone knows better.

It is weird, though. The sac is there, but thee is no yolk in it. It is just basically flesh hanging off of it's belly. Should I remove it?

Everything I have read so far mentioning a not fully absorbed yolk sack says to leave it alone. If you do a search on yolk sacks you will get a lot of info on it. Good luck with your chicks!
