I would call the sheriffs dept again. If the Guineas are not in site anymore, then they must be containing them. And they told you they could not contain them, right?

I would definitely check with the sheriffs dept again and let them know what has been happening.

I can not believe this! First off, keep that advice in mind that said to have someone watch thier every move and in court etc. VERY good idea to be prepared.
I think you should kill em with kindness.
It makes people slip up.
First send em some brownies- with exlax

then have some sexy woman call the house from a pay phone for a few days asking for the husband. People love to keep in touch it is the right thing to do!
Have someone send fake paternity papers to the house requesting the husbands DNA for court verification of his off spring. Mail- everyone loves to get it!
Heck have a "14 yr old" call looking for thier Dad...keeping families together is a good thing.
Oh yea mail... Dr.s could send STD reports to your home....
Revenge is best served cold, and it lets you put in perspective if it is worth it or not.
If they live in such filth WHY doesnt animal control or child welfare take them away??
How do you know it is that bad did in the house did you get in one day? You need to start making some calls because I so hardily agree with the person that said they will keep doing it.

I'm sure I should stay away from this thread, but I would never let someone walk over me like that! And for me it isn't even about the guineas, it wouldn't matter what they stole.

And as for letting it go? They're just guineas right! So what do they take next, do you let that go to? And how long do you let them do it? Until you have nothing left for them to take?

If it'd been me I'd have gone and gotten my animals back, even if I had to cut a hole in the fence. As for the receptionist that said buy some more, I'd say I'd be happy to, and ask her for the $____ to go do that. When I saw them trying to fly out and not being able to get over, I would have gotten that deputy back and showed him, I'd call every day if I had to. The second they were removed from the pen I'd have called and told them neighbor X just saw they remove MY birds from the pen and take them away. But if I was going to just let them keep them I'd make darn sure not to get anymore, I just don't see any point in supplying them with more and trust me they got away with it once, there is really no reason not to do it again.

It sounds like at this point you've lost them, and if it was me, any of their animals that got on my property would immidiately be penned and when they came looking I'd tell them they got in there on their own and I wasn't letting anyone on my property to get them back, if they wanted to go home they'd get out the same way they got in there. And when the deputy comes to help them get them back (and I'd bet money he'll do alot more for them then he did for you), remind him about the guineas and tell him if their animal wants to go home it will jump the fence and do so.
