Hi all!

I have 6, 6 month old chicks in Oklahoma City. Their coop is approximately 4x4x4, elevated about 2 feet off of the ground with ventilation at the top along roof. I’m trying to figure out if they need a heat lamp this winter...

It doesn’t get super cold here in the winter, at least not very often. We do have occasional snow, like once or twice a year and a handful of days that get below zero. We do have a good amount of days that get below zero with windchill... thanks for any help!

No, they do not need heat in the winter time. Ventilation looks pretty good to me especially if you leave the pop door open.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I was kind of gathering that I wouldn’t need one but just wanted to ask some veteran chicken owners! 🤓
