Heat mats

Anyone have some suggestions on heat mats I used an exoterra 8w for my original quail as well as heat lamp but now am about to hatch jumbos and kings(button) I need a second one for the kings so I can leave the other with my current quail outside
And I was going to use only a lamp for the jumbos any thoughts
I would like it at least 15cm x15cm and preferably relatively cheapish

that’s assuming I get a decent hatch they are shipped eggs that got cooled to around 8 C and my incubator is not the best

I don't use heat pads either. I prefer to use a heat lamp so I can control the temperature better. I keep a thermometer at the warm and cool ends of the brooder and start lowering the each day from day 1.

Okay like I have lamps but thought the buttons might appreciate the extra warmth
I still have a while so might do more research before I decide

As long as they have a warm end and a cool end in their brooder they should be fine. Watch them. They will tell you if they're comfortable or not.

Yeah thanks I may just for the first few day steal the one from my outdoor quail as it was very good for the first lot
And yeah Normally I make it so the mat covers half the box and light covers half the heat mat with food scattered and a bit made to mush as well as jar lids for water

I bought a heat plate for my recent hatch, https://www.amazon.com/RentACoop-Heating-Plate-10/dp/B07DLCX71P. I didn’t use a mat or lights, and it worked great. They have several sizes, I got the 12x12.
