HEEELLPP!! Emergency!!

I just got Peanut home

He's acting like his old self so hopefully everything will get better from here. He'll be getting the wounds re-flushed again on Saturday so we'll find out then if there are anymore maggots up there.

Now I'm realizing how exhausted I am haha. I feel like I need to sleep for a few days straight

You are my hero, I can't believe the things you had to do for poor Peanut. I would have just collapsed at first sight of those maggots. You have alot of intestinal fortitude to stick to it. Bravo !!

My friend puts the polyvisol vitamin drops(NO iron) on a piece of grape, and her roo gobbles it up. He's always looking for more. Maybe Peanut will like it too. I have to subscribe to this threat to hear that Peanut continues to improve. Gawd, I hate worms, maggots, anykind of larvae - even icky stuff like that with plants, soil mealybugs. Just want to hurl!!

I think I have the polyvisol drops already but I just have the vitamin D one. So I'll need to go find a multi-vitamin one for him. I cant believe how many meds I have to give the poor guy!

Wow!

So happy that Peanut is doing so much better and I know he will be so happy to be around you inside while he heals!! We all NEED our Mommy every once in awhile!! Thank you so much for sharing Peanuts story! I have read so much in the last two days of being a member here, that I am better prepared for what-so-ever might strike against my feathered babies! When I became a L&D nurse, I was so glad I was done having children and that I didn't know then what I knew now!!! Too much info is just as scary as not enough info! So many different things can go wrong and I am so happy this forum exists so I can run to it for help! Please keep us informed of Peanuts progress....This is so much better than a soap opera!!!

So happy to hear he is doing so much better! I followed the situation from the beginning and prayed he'd be ok. Seeing his picture - he's so beautiful! I'm partial to white silkies anyway. You've truly been through a stressful ordeal - I'm sure you're exhausted! Bless you for taking such good care of the little guy!
