So, I ordered their orpington chick package when they had a limited special, 20 chicks of at least 3 colors, on November 16, 2014. I sent messages several times, heard weather issues, not shipping. Iowa has been nice since early april. Now other excuses. Finally sent a message with my concern regarding the avian flu in my area, with a request for money back. We will see.

Oh my gosh... November?!

That's a really long time. And makes me think my initial suspicions of "we are finishing orders from Jan/Feb. and about to start on March" were right and it's just more B.S. I ordered some chicks from one of the big hatcheries in March and they sent me a shipping date for July. That's a long time but ok with me, at least I was informed and able to make a decision on whether I wanted to wait that long. Heirloom Orpingtons also wrote on FB awhile back that they are removing chick orders from the website until they get caught up, but looks to me like you can still click away and send them your money

Well, lets hope for the best here. I have requested money back, and much of that actually resides in the local confirmed avian influenza (in the next county) and my county on emergency to try to reduce further losses here locally. I just don't want inadvertent exposure of my girls, and can wait for chicks. Gonna try my hand at hatching eggs. Will update ya'll!

I ordered 10 BBS Orps from them back in November. The check was cashed on the 26th of November and they have yet to fill my order. I just sent them an email asking them why I haven't received them if they are currently filling orders from January and February. I'll let you know what I find out. I am really beginning to lose my patience with them.

Interestingly, some of the posts regarding shipping issues, messages/emails, phone calls, etc, have been deleted from the posts on their FB page. They have said they would refund my money for the Nov 2014 purchase of Orps chicks I haven't received yet, but nothing yet. I have great concerns over the current AI issues here in Iowa (just received another update from APHIS moments ago) about several new confirmed cases. I am certain I am being overly worried about AI, but would rather not bring live birds into my flock right now, unless I am the one transporting. :/ Has anyone else received any updates on their shipments?

Sorry for the slow response. I've been working 16's all weekend. :(

I got an update and tracking for the 10 ameraucanas I ordered. Should be here wed.

Well got a call at noon from the post office and had to go pick them up.

They sent 12 but one didn't make it which is expected from any chick shipments. They usually always send a couple extras just in case.

Never had ameracanas so don't know which are which for sure. One black one and the rest are grayish or yellowish. I assume the gray are blues and the yellow are splash?

I'm glad to hear that you got your chicks. I however have not even received a response from my email yet. If they continue to handle business in this manner I can't see them lasting very long.
