My six month old cross hen has not moved today and has not laid an egg for three weeks. Is she egg bound? What can I do? She is not eating either.

Could you take a picture of her it might help a bit. If she hasn't laid in three weeks she could be taking a break or be laying some where else but a picture might tell what's really going on with her

It would be best to post this in the Emergencies/Diseases subforum.

Is her crop full or empty? If full, is it hard or squishy like a water balloon?

You can try putting her in a warm Epsom salt bath to soak and giving her a crushed up Tums to eat if she will.

Good point, Molpet, I hadn't thought about "cross" meaning Cornish Cross. Water belly would be quite likely.
Only thought about it because it's in the meat bird forum. Although any bird could get it, and not much to do about it...😥

Thank you everyone. I will feel her belly. She is so fat, I hope I can tell. Should I have her humanely euthanized?

She would feel like a bag of water if that's what she has. You can take a syringe and draw out the liguid regularly. But I would put her down.
