You certainly have the most interesting bird stories! I admit that I had the pleasure of having mourning doves build a nest in my coop, and they allowed me to hold them.

Hi! Welcome to BYC! What a great intro! Love all the photos! And although I seem obsessed with chickens when I'm on BYC, (and I might be, but no confession here), I am really a cat person. I've never met a cat I didn't love! Thanks for sharing yours!

Years ago we lived through a horrible forest fire, we didn't evacuate because of all the poultry and livestock. The fire roared right over top of us as air tankers dropped slurry everywhere. Ash and embers fell like snow. Couldn't see the sky. We didn't sleep for 3 days as this monster threatened us. Incredibly terrifying!!

I can't imagine what that was like for you, Two Crows!
