Hello, complete newbie from Florida

Howdy folks. I was finally able to come up with the money and will to buy a few rural acres here in Central FL. I have been doing quite a bit of ready and watching, but so far I have zero chicken experience. I'd like to eventually have a thriving meat and egg flock going, but planning to start small. Looking forward to interacting more with you folks, and learning from all of the chicken knowledge and wisdom that's obviously here!
