My name is Tim. Just joined BYC this morning. I always had chickens growing up on the family farm (50+) Now I live in The mountains in Colorado at an elevation of 8500 feet.
We ordered day old chicks in July. We now have 2 roosters and 27 hens. We have Delewares, Buff Orps, Black Australorps, Barred Rocks and Golden Laced Wyandottes. Oh, our free chick is a Partridge Cochin rooster and he is beautiful!! Never been a fan of the feather footed breeds, but he is pretty awesome.
Anyways, I'm happy to be a part of the group

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

You did good. Actually cochins are generally a nice, docile breed, he may be a good rooster to hang on to.
