Hi guys!

I'm a first time backyard chicken momma with 3 young chicks ♡ Currently situated in Gainesville, FL on a small "house-stead" that wishes to be a homestead despite the neighborhood vibes I have always wanted to raise chickens, now with the start of my compost and getting my raised bed ready, I figure there's no better time Hoping to have lots of eggs and of course chicken manure

Been worrying lately about some possible roosters in the future Alma is feathering in slower than the other two. I believe she is from a different batch altogether (or even possibly a barred plymouth? I know olive eggers can come barred too) and keep telling myself she's a late bloomer. The Rural King I got them from uses Privett Hatcheries and the Olive Eggers they sell are a mix of Copper Marans and Ameracauna. *sigh* Only time will tell!
