Central Minnesota
My husband and I are retired with no children or grandchildren left at home and have an animal rescue in central Minnesota. But since my health took a dive and my husband is receiving chemotherapy treatment for newly diagnosed cancer we’ve had to phase out the rescue and just concentrate on the animals we enjoy the most. We still have the sanctuary dogs (9) and cats (11) and the myriad of other precious beings that we care for: 3 bunnies, 2 emus, 20+ Silkies, 80++ chickens (a breed that is half wild and hearty, I can’t ever remember the breed name), 1 cockatoo parrot, 9 indian runner ducks, 3 White chinese geese and 3 young Emden geese. We stay busy and have often had questions that I have googled and this forum comes up so I thought I’d join. Glad to be here. We just got the Chinese geese, hatched this spring and one female they thought was injured but clearly has Wry Neck. She has a n appointment with the vet next Thursday. I was looking for what we should do in the meantime. Thanks everyone!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Good luck with your husband's chemo treatment and I hope you get better too.
That’s very kind of you and very much appreciated! We are so busy and distracted it keeps our minds off of our troubles. The animals are full of joy and every day they come up with new shenanigans to make us laugh!

hello and welcome!
have you posted yet in the goose forum with your question about wry neck? there are several knowledgeable goose people there who are very helpful .
I haven’t yet. Trying to find my way around. I have no idea where anything is but I will figure it out, Lol. Maybe if I open it up on my laptop instead of my phone… 😊

Welcome to BYC. Good luck with the issues you are dealing with.
Thanks so much. These issues are like waves, they smack us then give us a minute to breathe before the next one. Much like everyone else. “Life”. But this one I can’t fix, there’s no cure. Just treatment to get by until it gets worse. We have to stay positive though. :)
