Hi everyone
We are new to the world of chickens. We bought 3 chickens for my son's 1st birthday present. All seems to be going ok so far. Love watching them in the garden and my little lad loves helping me with them and going down to talk to them. I do have a phobia of birds so haven't quite got round to picking them up yet but have started stroking them when they come near me and don't run away anymore. We have 2 German Langshan Bantams ( Mrs Bloom and Lady Hatt) and a Gold Laced Partridge Wyandotte (Clarabel). We have had some eggs but they aren't big producers and we have also had some in fighting but that seems to have calmed now Lady Hatt as taken her position as top Hen. Open to any advice as never had chicks or hens before.

and Welcome To BYC! X2 on the Learning Center as a great place to check out. Sounds like you and the chickens are both adjusting to each other. Hopefully the egg laying will improve now that spring is here, you might want to double check that they aren't hiding eggs somewhere in the garden.
