Hi. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am just getting started with chickens and have been doing a lot of reading and learning on here so thought I should just go ahead and join. This seems like a great place to learn about chicken keeping. Like I said, I am just getting started, but I think I am addicted. I just can't seem to stop buying chicks. I think I am going to have to now though, because my coop is not going to be big enough when they grow up if I buy any more, lol.

Yes, chicken are addicting and the feed stores tend to be enablers this time of year!

You might want to stop by our learning center for lots of great tips and hints on raising your new brood...

And make sure you build the coop large enough so that you don't have too much aggression from being too cramped in.

I think my coop will be ok as long as I can control myself on chick buying for a while. lol. It is pretty big and we are adding a big run area and more roosting areas to it also.
