They are very common around here and my 10yo says he saw the mumma duck. If his duck ID is not so good they will likely be a Pacific black or a wood duck. They are the two most common ones...
They are peeping more today, and I am obsessively checking them for pipping. I have a four day weekend coming up so I want them to hatch tomorrow so I can spend the long weekend with them. Unfortunately I am guessing they will not have my schedule in mind...
The fourth egg had scratchy noises today too! This is super exciting as this egg got some decent cracks in it from being knocked out of the nest and I thought it would die. But other than being a day behind the others, it appears to be a good egg!
