Hello from Australia! I have eggs and not much idea what to do!

You may be able to get local duck assistance from people on the Aussie threads. "Australia - six states and one funny little Island," or "Australians - where are you.?"

When they hatch, I hope you will post photos for us to see.

Hi Everyone, thanks so much for the welcome. The eggs are from a Pacific Black duck (am fairly sure). They are very common around here and my 10yo says he saw the mumma duck. If his duck ID is not so good they will likely be a Pacific black or a wood duck. They are the two most common ones...

They are peeping more today, and I am obsessively checking them for pipping. I have a four day weekend coming up so I want them to hatch tomorrow so I can spend the long weekend with them. Unfortunately I am guessing they will not have my schedule in mind...

The fourth egg had scratchy noises today too! This is super exciting as this egg got some decent cracks in it from being knocked out of the nest and I thought it would die. But other than being a day behind the others, it appears to be a good egg!

Don't help them unless emergency, they need to make it out themselves makes them ready for the big world. Thanks for updating we're all waiting for the lil ones to hatch.

Checking obsessively is part and parcel of incubation I m afraid. Sounds like everything going really well tho. Your boy sounds like he loving it all too. Ducks are wonderful pets. I have muscovies albeit way too many at the moment.

Any progress with the hatch? I'm keeping an eye on this (and fingers crossed!)

I have a question.... my incubator is super small... If I am quick, can i take out the spent shells? Little Percy has no room except to trample his siblings.

Note: Photo to follow....
