Thanks everyone! My girls are still inside but this is the most fascinating thing ever! If I could figure out how to post a video (might try tonight) we were having "free time" (when I lay down a blanket and they roam the bathroom and "play") and I got some cute slow motion video's of a few of them taking off! Hard to believe 8 day old chicks are that advanced! 

So funny! They really do hit the ground running.

I just hope she didn't end up with a cockerel - there were a few extra in the shipping box! I don't think she'll be able to part with him by the time she figures out one of her "babies" is a he!
