Very new to chickens. Have been wanting a couple FOREVER!! So I ended up with 2 New Hampshire Red chicks. Both are a little over a week now and living in the house until we build the coop! Probably a small tractor as we intend to allow free range in the yard(I'm home all day). Look forward to learning from you all!

Hello to you too from Loveland!

We are new to chickens too. Chicken math got us right out of the gate. We have 26 chicks of various breeds with 5 guineas on order to arrive in 2 weeks. We plan to eat the boys and keep the girls.

We are in the middle of building the Taj MaCoop with my husband building doors and windows now. Lots to do still to get the coop ready.

We are enjoying just watching the birds do crazy bird things. They are at that awkward growth phase of very little of the fuzz left.

It's all part of the fun.

AHH!! I wish we could have that many! We have 2 and must be pretty discreet about it. There is an HOA in our neighborhood, but not at all active. So we are just keeping it quiet. I am thinking about getting a dog house and remodeling it into a coop! Good luck with your group!
