Hello from Colorado!!

WOOHOO! That's fantastic! Doing a happy dance for you. Send pictures so it will hold me over to Apr 9.
Eggs are doing well. I'm not to good at candling. I tried several at a week and all I could make out was yolk. I figured I'd try at 2 weeks.
I can't wait to see yours,
Lisa

Had a 100% hatch!! The chicks are sooooo adorable!

How are your eggs doing?

I'm out of town for work, but my wife put them on lockdown this evening. She discarded 10 clear eggs the other day leaving 21, all except one of which were still looking good before lockdown. The iffy one looked like it had a blood ring though it was as developed as the others. Guess we'll know in a few days...

Well good luck and let us know!!

x2, no fair to announce a hatch and not post pictures.
Cellarrat1, this is only our first hatch mind you, but we candled ours at a week and could only make out the barest hint of veining, and that only on the lightest shelled eggs. I think I read day 10 was optimal to start looking for veining, though I doubt any first time incubators can wait that long, I know we couldn't

I'll be two weeks Monday. My sweetheart had back surgery in Denver yesterday so I'm staying up here. I have a friend watching "the nest." I'll try candling again tomorrow when we get home.
Happy Easter everyone.

Ugh, I sympathize, my wife has had back problems for quite a while. Best wishes for a speedy recovery
