Hello, from Ga

Welcome from Middle Georgia. So glad you decided to join us. There are quite a number of Georgians on BYC. Some participate in the Yo Georgians forum.

Do you already have your flock or in the planning?

Feel free to ask questions, we're here to help.

Just starting! Very excited

Looks like they are in your bathtub…And a lot of chicks. They are so cute. But have your dust mask ready..lol.

Since you have some past experience, I expect you remember how fast they grow. Mine really surprised me and at only one week old, I was out shopping for a larger brooder. I don't think the space will accommodate them more than another week? The light needs to be rigged to be able to raise it about once a week and not risk a turn over or fall on the chicks.

Please check out the Learning center articles on raising baby chicks, and the amount of space they need.

If you haven't already done so, make sure you have your coop plans and start building. you will need to move them out at 5-6 weeks old.

Good luck, have fun.

Yes Sunflour, totally didn't even think of the light.... I am moving them to the coop today they definitely won't last another week, like I said started at 10 and thank the 1st time dad now have 30 :)

You sure have a lot of chicks! You'll be getting lots of eggs when they grow up.
