We live in the far north of California, under Mt Shasta. We have two acres and a creek running through our property which is wooded as we are at 3,000 ft elevation. I grew up on a ranch and we had chickens. We built a pretty secure coop and fenced it well, including a solar powered electric fence. I'm also a beekeeper and keep my two hives in the chicken yard. I have 9 chickens currently.
