Hey everyone. I am new to all this, and was contemplating a DLM for the coop. Does anyone use this method in South Mississippi, or anywhere in the south where it gets so hot in the summer. I am concerned that it will get too hot in the coop using DLM. I am converting a playhouse that I built when my kids were little into a chicken coop. The inside is 8' X 5'6". There are 5 windows in the coop that are roughly 15" X 25". There should be plenty of ventilation (I can add a fan if I need to) to keep the girls cool in the summer.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
