Hello everyone,
We are a couple that live in Phoenix starting out on the path of backyard chicken living. We have a large 1/2 acre lot in the City which is great for space. We have decided to start with 8 chickens believed to be best for the heat of Arizona. 4 - New Hampshire chickens, and 4 Cinnamon Queen. They are due to arrive middle of June so wanted to get ready. We wanted to learn as much as we can about raising chickens as we will be moving to my retirement land in a couple of years in Show Low AZ. I have a 2.5 acre parcel to build a homestead. Plans are for Chickens, ducks, a few sheep and goats. with fruit trees and vegetable garden with greenhouse.
